Birthday Brunch

Today is my boyfriend Ray's 27th birthday. Personally, I don't believe that birthdays were meant to be celebrated in one day; where's the fun in that? Accordingly, I've sectioned off the better half of this week to indulge in birthday festivities. Yesterday, we had our spa treatments and grabbed dinner (and a whole bunch of tequila) with friends at a local gastropub. Today, a little worse for the wear, we started our day by grabbing brunch at a great Mexican bar, Cantina Dos Segundos. The little sister to the South Philly original, I prefer Dos Segundos due to its larger menu, greater possibility of actually getting a seat, and the fact they serve brunch 7 days a week.

INCREDIBLE take on eggs Benedict; poached egg, vegetarian sausage, chipotle Hollandaise, refried burritos, and thick crunch Sopas

After brunch, we strolled through an area called the Piazza, an open square surrounded by local boutiques and restaurants, with a stage in the center for summer concerts/events. Above the stores are incredible condos that, in a dream world, Ray and I would live at. After browsing through a record store, we walked around the square and caught a few minutes of an old black and white movie screening to absolutely nobody.

Finally, onto my outfit today. It's deliciously warm and sunny today, so I had a lot of fun with this one:
